Most People Do This and it Makes Them 40% Less Productive!

In this blog, I want to share with you some information about productivity. You know the most successful people all do this one thing. And if you want to be successful in whatever you do in life, whether it be in business or in your personal life, you'll also get good at this one thing.

I often hear people talk about the fact that they don't have time in their day to get everything done or that they wished there were more hours in a day. Now, here's the truth my friends, you're not going to get any more hours in your day. We all have the same 24 hours. Some people just know how to manage what they do within those hours much better than others. The other thing is, you can't manage time. People think that they can manage time, but science has not yet shown us how we can do that.

All of those courses that are called "time management" are really a misnomer. It's really activity management. So, the most successful people know how to manage the activities in their day. There's really no excuse for you to complain that you can't get everything done or why you can't get more things done in a day. The only reason is you just won't make the change to how you manage your activities. This is most people in life.

Most people won't take the steps that they need to take because they just like doing what they're doing. They like to be able to complain that it's all about the time. But, if you're willing to make a change in your behavior, in the processes that you go through so you could become more productive, you can go after those dreams and goals that you have, and actually accomplish them. You can be more satisfied that at the end of your day you did everything you could. You'll know that you were the most productive and that you helped the most people.

Whatever it is that you want to do you can do more of it. But you're going to have to make a change. Otherwise, you will stay stuck where you are. You'll stay in that job that you don't like, you'll stay dreaming about that company that you're going to start, you'll stay wishing that you could do that hobby, or that sport, or whatever it is. You're just saying, "I don't have the time." So if you don't want to be stuck, you need to make some changes.

Now, I'm going to share with you the thing that 93% of the population does that they think makes them more efficient, but actually makes them less efficient. I think you're going to be surprised when you hear what it is. Are you ready?

It's multitasking. So many people multitask. They think that they're getting more done and that they're being more productive. You know, you can't talk on the phone to somebody and write a report at the same time. You'll think you're doing a really good job. Something's going to happen, you're going to mess up the report, or the person on the other end of the phone's going to realize you're not paying attention to them. Neither of those things is good. You cannot do more than one thing at a time.

Many people think that the brain is a computer and, you know what? It is, but it's a biological computer, and it works differently than the computer that you have on your desk, or the computer that you have on your phone. You see, you could have multiple processors in those computers, and they could do many things at once. The biological brain, the conscious part of the brain does not work that way. It only focuses on one thing at a time, and that one thing it does very, very well. So, when you're multitasking you're actually turning your brain on and off and switching from one task to another. They call it 'rapid task switching.' You think you're being more productive, but the brain takes time to switch from one task to another, and sometimes errors can occur.

Here's the truth, studies show that you can be up to 40% less productive by multitasking. So, if you want to get more done, stop multitasking. Start to focus on the things that are important in your life. And, to help you along the way, if you're ready to take that step, I've created special audio, and a special report that will talk all about multitasking, what is actually happening. It will reveal to you what to do instead. It will tell you what you can do so that you can 10 times your productivity so that you can better manage the activities during your day, and so that you can be one of those top producers in your field.
